Judy Lockwood has been working in the field of vocational services for over 40 years in areas including vocational assessment, career development and counseling, career testing, vocational rehabilitation, and vocational expert witness testimony.

She began her career by assisting vocational rehabilitation counselors to research the labor market and find jobs for individuals with injuries that affected their ability to work in their chosen career. She pursued the field further by obtaining a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Colorado. She acquired her Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and ultimately became licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC). She has also held certifications as a Case Manager (CCM) and a Disability Management Specialist (CDMS).

Currently, her focus is on career development and counseling as well as performing vocational assessments related to family law matters. This occasionally necessitates expert witness testimony.  She has testified over 100 times in cases involving divorce, employment law, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Workers Compensation, as well as employability and earning capacity issues.

Judy is a Former Consultant to the United States Olympic Committee Olympic Job Opportunities Program and has presented and trained at various conferences and seminars at the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Annual Conference, the University of Colorado, and the Colorado Springs Personnel Women Annual Conference.  She has enjoyed working as a Trainer for Arapahoe/Douglas County Works in the subject of Marketing Job Applicants to Employers and has been a trainer in areas of employment and career development for the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and the City of Colorado Springs.
